Hajj Trip Reminder List

1. Please cleanse your heart and purify your intention for this holy spiritual trip.
2. Please ask everybody for forgiveness for the mistakes you might have done to them.
3. Please prepare a will to be left behind with your loved ones. Please pay off your debts and make a written record of those debts that you cannot pay off or are not due yet.
4. If you want to perform Hajj Mabroor inshallah, Please be patient. Patience and perseverance is the most important virtue of hajj.
5. Please devout all your time to worship. Please engage only in righteous deeds and avoid prohibitions.
6. Never harm any Muslim with words or actions .
7. During hajj, do not carry large amounts of cash with you. Unfortunately there are a lot of professional thieves lurking around.
8. Please travel light.
9. Please bring along one of two pairs of foam/beach slippers (for men).
10. It is advisable to have a suitable money belt to carry money and documents.
11. Please do not forget to bring your Ihram especially for those brothers who are going to Makkah first. You must carry the Ihram & slippers with you into the plane to wear it at Miqat. No special dress code is required for the sisters. All what is required to have for females is the standard Islamic Hijab.
12. Always keep your valuables and medicine in a carry-on bag. Never check them into a plane cargo because luggage tends to get lost a lot during Hajj time.
13. Medications packaging should be proof against knocks and shocks and the medications you need should if possible be spread around several carry-on luggage items. It's advisable to take in your carry-on luggage about one-and-a-half to twice the amount you expect to need.
